On 15th January 2024 WRT put out a press release detailing the success of the trial to eradicate mink from an area of 5852 km2 across Norfolk and Suffolk. By the following week the story had been covered in 213 items, with an estimated audience reach (EAR) of just over 1 billion!

The press interest prompted a number of donations, for which we are extremely grateful. Our website stats, shown below, went ‘through the roof’ on the day of the press release and we had many more reports of mink from across the country. Others have been inspired to join the project as volunteers or set up their own area control projects.
